Trends This Fall

This fall is all about 70s fashion! Adding a vintage vibe to your fall wardrobe is a must. For a sophisticated day look try wide-leg pants, silk blouses, and vests. High sheen fabrics and floor length gowns with plunging necklines make a 70s glamour night look. Accessorize with layered jewelry, big cat eye sunglasses, and wide leather belts.

Back to School Rules!

Fashion rules, that is! There are a few ways to make sure you don't end up looking like a fashion disaster on your first day, and throughout the upcoming fall season.

Rule Number One: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT wear boots untill at least October. I see so many girls who are anxious to wear boots, and yet it is still Summer weather. Instead of thinking "Wow, cute boots!" people will think you are a weather confused freak.

Rule Number Two: No pastel colors! Enough said.

Rule Number Three: Remember, this is school, not a strip club. Tight jeans and skirts are okay, but cleacvage hanging out, or even worse, a sheer shirt (we don't really want to see your bra!) is not.

Rule Four: No colored skinny jeans! They were cute in 2009, but now you will just look like a crayon.

Rule Number Five: No shoes with rhinestones. Tacky, tacky, tacky.

It's been AGES!

EHMAGAWD! I haven't posted in literally a year! I was just looking at my last post, and saw it was about back to school outfits! Which is funny because it's about time to start planning your back to school outfit for this year! Well I think I am going to start posting again! And feel free to look through my other posts, some of the information is classic, and still can be applied today! It's good to be back y'all!

Mwah! ;)

First Day of School

Okay, so its not quite time for school to start, but its always good to plan ahead. Choosing your outfit now will give you time to make necessary adjustment to your clothes so you look perfect. Here's some tips on choosing your outfit, and staying fashion forward throughout the year!
  • Check fashion magazines (or this blog!) for updates on cool accessories and the most popular colors.
  • Don't wear something fabulous on the first day, and then wear sweats and tees for the rest of the year.
  • Don't wear anything slutty or trashy, because you also have to make a good impression on teachers! (That goes for makeup too!)
  • Try a simple shirt and jeans with funky accessories and shoes for a put-together look.
  • Flats are perfect for school. Stock up!
  • Make sure your outfit represents you personality.

And the number one rule...

Don't try to look like everyone else! Stand out!

White Hot

Do not underestimate the power of white (Not Being Racist!) Wearing white shorts, and skirts will make your legs look uber-tan!! Try opaque white nails for a modern spin on the classic pink or black. White acessories add contrast to an outift. White boots = City chic! The possibilities are endless.

Gladiator Sandals

Its no doubt that gladiator sandals are some of summer's hottest shoes. Not only are they cute, but they are very versatile. Here are some ways you can wear your gladiators:

With Skinny Jeans:

If your gladiator sandals go up or above your ankle, either roll up your jeans, tuck your jeans into the sandals, or pull the jeans over the sandals.

With a Skirt or Dress:

If its a frilly skirt or girly dress, add tough or boho accessories.

For a denim skirt, where a flowy top and some more girly accessories.

With Shorts:

Gladiators go great with short shorts, and besides that, anything goes!

Summer Prints/Styles

This summer two major styles are perfect this season:

  • Tribal - Exotic prints like snakeskin and bright colors are perfect. To tone it down, try cool accessories like peacock feather earrings or snakeskin belts and shoes.

  • Nautical - Use stripes and colors like royal blue and red to upgrade your look. Try cute red wedges and blue stripes skirts to pull this off.

Remember, don't forget to put your own spin on these styles. You don't want to look like a follower or a wannabe. Be original!
